Voice Notes
The Voice Notes project reminds us of what speech has always been at its best:
a tool for humans to think through complex ideas and reach for answers,
both for their lives and their society.
The voice notes are unedited, unplanned, and un-fact checked: just like all the conversations humans have had until new tools allowed otherwise.
The voice notes are parts of my private conversations I've decided to leak; they're vulnerable,
but that vulnerability is what we're in danger of editing out of our culture today.
You may not agree with what you hear, you may be offended by curse words and unfiltered emotion,
you may be confused when I contradict myself or stumble to articulate myself,
but everything you hear is what honest, unfiltered thinking sounds like.
Speech and thought are what make us human.
